This Privacy Policy explains how Axinvent AI ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use Histolearn (the "app"). Histolearn lets students, instructors, and authorized educational users view whole-slide images, review teaching cases, study case background, review educational case explanations as a learning exercise, and complete learning activities. By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We collect the following categories of information so the app can function and so educational records can be maintained.

Account information

• Name
• Email address
• Role: student, instructor, or administrator
• Affiliation, if you provide it
• User ID or account identifier
• Password information, stored in protected (hashed) form and never in plain text

Educational app activity

• Course participation
• Slide and teaching case activity
• Annotations, notes, and content you create
• Quiz answers, results, and learning progress
• Login and account activity

Technical and security

• IP address
• Device and browser information
• Server logs
• Error logs and diagnostic information

Histolearn is intended for de-identified educational material only. You must not upload, enter, or share patient-identifiable information in the app.

• Authentication and secure sign-in
• Access to courses, slides, and teaching cases
• Saving annotations, notes, and learning progress
• Supporting instructor and student workflows
• Responding to support requests
• Security, troubleshooting, and diagnostics
• Reliability and educational functionality of the app

• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not use personal information for advertising tracking.
• We may use trusted service providers (for hosting, storage, authentication, notifications, security, or infrastructure) who process information on our behalf.
• We may disclose information if required by law, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of users and the service.

• The app may rely on services for hosting, infrastructure, authentication, notifications, or security.
• No advertising SDKs are used.
• No cross-app or cross-site tracking is performed.

We retain information for as long as it is needed to provide the app, maintain educational records, support account access, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security.

After an account is deleted, personal information is deleted or de-identified, unless retention is required for legal, security, backup, or legitimate operational reasons.

You can request account deletion within the app where this option is available, or by emailing our privacy team. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and we will respond in line with applicable requirements.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Histolearn is intended for authorized students, instructors, and institutional users. It is not directed to young children.

International users

Your information may be processed and stored in locations where Axinvent AI or its service providers operate. By using the app, you understand that your information may be transferred to and handled in those locations.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
